Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation and GAC Accreditation Center signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. 18.05.2025 15:21The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Gulf Cooperation Council Accreditation Center (GAC) adopted a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document was signed by Grand Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and GAC Director General Moteb al-Mazany during the plenary session of the 10th Marjani Readings.
“Through this agreement, we will jointly deepen cooperation in the halal industry, standardization and certification ,” said Dr. Moteb Al-Mezany.
On behalf of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, the International Halal Standardization and Certification Center, accredited by the GAC since 2017, will be involved in the implementation of the signed memorandum.
"GAC is one of the most authoritative bodies in the world. When our center received their accreditation, Russian halal producers were able to ship products not only to Saudi Arabia but also to other Gulf countries. Over the course of eight years, we underwent several assessments by them. Mufti Gainutdin and Dr. Al-Maezani met at the last KazanForum in 2024. The intention to sign a memorandum was announced then, and today it happened ," commented Aidar Gazizov, General Director of the Halal International Center for Social and Health Sciences.
