The global market for Halal products and services, estimated to reach approximately $2.5 trillion by 2025, is growing annually due to a significant increase in the Muslim population and rising spending on high-quality products and services that comply with Islamic norms. The overall Muslim population is projected to increase from the current 25% to 30% of the world's population by 2050. All this points to high potential for Russian Halal products, particularly those from the agro-industrial complex.
According to estimates by the Federal Center "Agroexport", Russia increased its Halal exports by 2.7 times between 2020 and 2025, reaching $389 million. By 2030, Russian Halal exports to the GCC countries and Egypt alone are projected to exceed $700 million.
