The Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of the Russian Federation is represented by its Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Rafik Fattakhetdinov; the General Director of the Halal International Center for Social and Cultural Affairs, Aidar Gazizov; and staff from the Halal International Center for Social and Cultural Affairs, working at the Republic of Tatarstan's stand, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of the Russian Federation delegation took part in the opening ceremony of the Russian exhibit, MADE IN RUSSIA, which this year covers over 1,000 square meters. Russia is represented at the exhibition by approximately 150 manufacturers from 43 regions of the country.
"We broke last year's record for the number of participants from Russia. Agricultural products have high potential in the MENA markets, and exports have been growing dynamically in recent years," said Veronika Nikishina, General Director of the Russian Export Center.
"Today, the Persian Gulf countries are Russia's most important food trade partners. Last year, our exports to the region grew by almost 10%. We account for a significant share of Arab countries' imports of grain products and sunflower oil. Exports of Russian halal products—beef, poultry, and meat products—are rapidly growing. We are considering increasing supplies of processed grain products and other high-value-added products," emphasized Russian Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut.
The Republic of Tatarstan's exhibit also generated considerable interest among visitors. The stand features 18 leading Tatarstan companies producing halal products.

The head of the Tatarstan delegation, Marat Zyabbarov, held a meeting dedicated to increasing the Republic's agricultural exports. Representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Investment Development Agency (IDA), the Russian House in the UAE, TD Indeal, Gulftik-MCSiS "Halal," and TAGMOA attended the meeting. Following the meeting, memoranda of understanding and cooperation were signed between many organizations, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan and the MCSiS "Halal."

Also, on the first day of productive work, the Chairman of the Trademark and Franchising Services Association (TAGMOA), Mr. Muhammad Al-Madani, signed a memorandum of understanding between his organization and the Halal International Centre for Social and Cultural Affairs.

A large number of business meetings are planned as part of the exhibition.
