The international exhibition "HALAL EXPO-2025", organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held for the fifth time in the city of Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the invitation of Aibek Atashev, Director of the Halal Certification Authority at the Muslim Spiritual Directorate of Kazakhstan, Aidar Gazizov, Director General of the International Center for Standardization and Certification "Halal" at the Muslim Spiritual Directorate of the Russian Federation, visited the exhibition.

During the opening ceremony, Aidar Gazizov greeted the Supreme Mufti of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nauryzbay Kazhy Taganuly, and all guests and exhibitors on behalf of the spiritual leader of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Chief Mufti Sheikh Ravil Hazrat Gainutdin, and wished them success at this significant event for the development of the Halal industry in Kazakhstan and the CIS countries.

In turn, the Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan thanked Aidar Gazizov and Rustam Khasenevich, director of the BelHalal certification body, representing the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Belarus, for their visit to Almaty and their traditional support for the Halal industry development programs carried out by the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Kazakhstan.

More than one hundred foreign and domestic enterprises from Kazakhstan participated in the HALAL EXPO-2025, and more than 20,000 visitors learned about halal product manufacturers.

At a special awards ceremony, the winners in the categories “Best Halal Enterprise” and “Best Specialist” were announced.

It's worth noting that, as part of this international exhibition, the Halal Damu certification body organized a seminar to exchange experiences with international partners. Aidar Gazizov and Rustam Hazrat Khasenevich participated in the seminar, sharing their practical experience working with Halal standard inspectors who monitor the production of halal products at Halal Damu-certified facilities. The seminar participants unanimously agreed on the need to further strengthen partnerships in enhancing the competencies of specialists.

In the afternoon, guests from Russia and Belarus were invited by the Deputy Supreme Mufti of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ermek Hazrat Mukatai, to the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture "Nur-Mubarak", where the next conference of the Eurasian Halal Union, founded in April 2012 in Astana by representatives of the Spiritual Administrations of Muslims of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, was held.

In addition to the aforementioned founding countries, the conference was also attended by representatives of the certification bodies of the Spiritual Administrations of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia, including Baktiyar Toktogazy uulu, Head of the Halal Services and Products Certification Department of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Jakhongir Salamov, Director of the Standardization and Certification Center of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Dosymbek Aldanysh, Executive Director of the Halalstandard of the Muslim Union of Mongolia.

Kazakhstan was also represented by Nuridin Kaliyev, General Director of HALAL Quality Center LLC, and Russia by Kurban Abakarov, Deputy Director of the Halal International Center for Social and Cultural Quality, and Eduard Khamidullin, Head of the Certification Department of the Halal International Center for Social and Cultural Quality.

At the beginning of the event, Ermek Hazrat welcomed the international conference participants on behalf of the Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan, emphasizing the need for coordinated work among the Eurasian Union's certification bodies, based on the unified principles of halal standards, given that large volumes of halal products are exported to the Central Asian republics from Russia and Belarus, and consumers must be confident that halal standards are met.

The conference discussed pressing issues related to the activities of non-Muslim organizations in the field of certification and the need to combat producers of dubious products labeled "Halal." Participants agreed on the development of a roadmap to be reflected in the conference's final resolution.

Rustam Khasenevich, co-chair of the Eurasian Halal Union, deputy mufti of the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Belarus, and director of the BelHalal certification body, proposed holding the next meeting of the Eurasian Union in Minsk in 2026.

Aidar Gazizov: "As Chairman of the Eurasian Halal Union, I would like to thank everyone present for their active participation in the conference. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, represented by its leader, Supreme Mufti Nauryzbay Kazy Taganuly, and to Halal Damu Director Aibek Aga Atashev, for the invitation to the HALAL EXPO-2025 exhibition in Almaty. A spiritual evening dedicated to Mawlid, "The Family and Example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him ) ," concluded our visit to hospitable Kazakhstan in a beautiful way."
