Meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation 30.04.2018 21:32The General Director of Gulftic-ICSC «Halal» Aidar Gazizov, the Deputy General Director Samat Sadykov, the General Secretary of the Standards and Metrology Institute for the Islamic Countries (SMIIC) Ihsan Ovut, the representative of the International Department of Russia Muftis Council Salem Zalam took part in the meeting. The delegation was received by the Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maxim Markovich, the Director of Information Policy and Special Projects Department Dmitry Krasnov and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
It is not the first meeting with the Head of ESMA, in this regard the parties emphasized the positive dynamics in the export of agricultural products from Russia to the UAE market since the first meeting in 2016, when Abdulla Al Maini also arrived at the International «Halal» Congress, which is annually held by the International Center for Halal Standardization and Certification of Russia Muftis Council.
Abdulla Al Maini expressed his gratitude for the invitation and noted that his visit was primarily aimed at removing any obstacles and overcoming problems connected with the import of «Halal» products from Russia.
Maxim Markovich informed about the growing number of enterprises which have passed «Halal» certification for the UAE market. The issues of the UAE standards were also raised during the meeting.
Aidar Gazizov mentioned the positive results of the cooperation between the Halal Center and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Aidar Gabdullovich also informed the audience about the activities and contribution of Gulftic-ICSC in Russia's increasing export potential. Besides, he reported about the visit of the Russian business mission to Saudi Arabia, which was held in December last year under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sergey Levin. Aidar Gazizov expressed his gratitude to the parties for the visit and the warm welcome.
The sides touched upon the prospects for the growth of «Halal» market and expressed their willingness to enhance mutual relations between the two states.
