The Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology ( ESMA) is the governmental body of the United Arab Emirates, which develops standards and regulates the import procedure of «Halal» products.
The accreditation was preceded by months-long gradual work of the International Center for Halal Standardization and Certification. In particular, experts from the GCC Accreditation Center (GCC) and The Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) inspected CJSC «Stavropolsky broiler», part of the Group of Agribusinesses «Resource» and «Optimum» (Ecole).
During the inspection the auditors checked the possibility of the International Halal Center to properly and efficiently control «Halal» production, to perform the necessary audit procedures and to check the compliance of the manufactured products with «Halal» standard requirements .
After the on-site inspections, representatives of the regulatory authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates decided to accredit the International Center for Halal Standardization and Certification for compliance with «Halal» standard for the production of poultry meat, cattle, goats and sausage products, on 11 and 16 November respectively.
Trainings in the Moscow office for «Halal» experts of the International Center conducted by the experts from the GCC Accreditation Center (GAC) and the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) were an important part of the accreditation process.
It should be noted that the reached agreements facilitate the export expansion of production from Russia and CIS to Arab and other countries. In addition, the certificate issued by Gulftic-ICSC "Halal" will considerably facilitate the trade relations of the certified enterprise with the regulatory authorities of the importing countries.
